IAF Plans to Induct one More Fleet of Fighter Aircrafts Under Make in India Project
Indian Air Force (IAF) Plans to induct one more fleet of Fighter Aircrafts in order to renovate the decreasing number of Fighter aircrafts .
The Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Arup Raha said that “Government is planning to manufacture a second line of fighter planes under the make in India Project”.
As with the growing Technologies ,within 15-20 years any air-force will tend to suffer from obsoleteness i.e. The Aircrafts are losing their relevance as they cannot cope up with the new technologies .The IAF also suffering from same and The Aircrafts squadron’s strength is also coming down.
IAF will also in the process of inducting Fifth Generation Rafale Aircafts and very large number of Advanced LCA Tejas Too.This will surely replace the older fleet of fighter aircrafts in the Indian Air Force at the shortest possible time.
The IAF Chief also said that, “ we must learnt few lessons from the Pathankot Terrorist attack. We are revitalising our training and are getting better small arms… We have also classified and prioritised IAF bases based on the threat perceptions, proximity to the border and the assets these bases have.”
