AGE LIMIT FOR NDA & NA Examination

The age of Candidate lie between 16 years 6 months to 19 years.i.e Born Between 2nd Jan to 1st July for December Course and 2nd July to 1st January for July course.

Marital status-Unmarried

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:A candidate must either be

  1. A citizen of India,or
  2. A subject of Bhutan,or
  3. A subject of Nepal,or
  4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st july,1962 with the intention to permanently setting in India,or
  5. A Person of India origin who has migrated from any other country and number 2,3 and 4 have issued the certificate of eligibility from the government of India

Certificate of eligibility will not be necessary in case of Gorkha Candidates subjects of Nepal.

2) 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) entry Scheme

The Second way of joining the Indian Navy is through 10+2 Cadet (B Tech)Entry Scheme.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

Age: 17 to 19½ years (i.e. born between 02 Jan 1996 & 01 July 1998 (inclusive both dates)

 Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Nationality:A candidate must either be

  1. A citizen of India,or
  2. A subject of Bhutan,or
  3. A subject of Nepal,or

Physical Standards:

(a) Height and Weight: Minimum height – 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.

(b) Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

(c) Tattoo : Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist end and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection.

Note:- There will be no relaxation in physical standards.
