How the SmeshApp Gave access to Pakistan Agencies on Indian Army Personnel-Know More
SmeshApp is an Spyware app form Google Playstore that is used by Pakistan Intelligence agencies to snoop on Indian Army Personnel.
According to the CNN-IBN investigations the app was being used to access crucial information regarding the movement of troop and other counter terrorism operations.Google removed the spyware app from its Playstore.
Army also blacklisted two other app WeChat and Line as they will also be used for such purpose.
According to Some Reports:The SmeshApp is hosted by a man based out of Karachi and all the information collected by it was stored on a server in Germany.
The Pakistan agency ISI was using this malicious software to tap smartphone of military personnel.
The SmeshApp affected the smartphones as well as the personal computers of soldiers.Once Installed ,the app allowed a third party to access personal information such as phone logs,text messages and Photographs stored on the device.
According to the investigation this app was also used during the attack on Indian Air Force base in Pathankot in January 2016 by the Pakistan handlers.
The App helped them to gain access to crucial information on the movement of troops and they can react and send information accordingly.The military personnel are also being asked to switch off location notification on phones in operational areas.
This app may also be used for other terrorism operations.Even the Army,Navy,Air Force,BSF,CRPF all the Indian Armed Forces are targeted.
These are also some fack accounts on Facebook of Indian Military personnels that are unknowingly communicating with Pakistan agencies.
With this app they can Hack Smartphones,Personnel Computers,Laptops,Facebook account and other social Media Accounts and make it as Data Base and they control their different operations through it.
The App targeted from Field level officers to retired Military personnels.
